Jordi Puigneró, Vice President of the Catalan Government, visits GPAINNOVA

Jordi Puigneró, Vice President of the Catalan Government and Regional Minister of Digital Policies and Land, visited last Friday, April 22nd, the headquarters in Barcelona of GPAINNOVA, one of the leading technological platforms specializing in surface treatment solutions for metal and alloy parts. The business group also welcomed three other senior members of the regional government: Daniel Marco, in charge of the Directorate General for Innovation and Digital Economy; Joana Barbany, General Director for Digital Society, and Maria Mercè Santmartí, director for Territorial Services in Barcelona.

 

For two hours, they toured GPAINNOVA’s headquarters, with an interior area of approximately 6,000 square meters and inaugurated in October 2021. Its facilies count on a test laboratory prepared with the most advanced analysis equipment, pool for testing marine drones, showroom and prototyping workshop, and flexible office spaces to boost interaction among creative departments. Likewise, an exclusive area has been set up for R+D projects.

Puigneró, Marco, Barbany and Santmartí also attended a corporate presentation of GPAINNOVA, carried out by its CEO and co-founder, Pau Sarsanedas, to learn about its expansion and internationalization plans for the coming years. According to him, the group “is already a platform of strategic interest in Catalonia, and it wants to become even more so in the future, in order to lead innovation at a national level and launch cross-cutting projects with a global impact”.
