The Basque company MADIT has acquired its first DLyte 100I, the Dry Electropolishing equipment that uses the disruptive DryLyte Technology
—awarded the TCT Award in 2018 as the best post-processing solution for Additive Manufacturing – and manufactured by GPAINNOVA. It is the first DLyte machine installed in Spain aimed at providing service to the Industrial sector.

With this new addition, MADIT increases and diversifies its machinery, which also includes three Renishaw metal 3D printers. The new Industrial equipment will allow the company to expand its post-processing services aimed at metal 3D printing and to offer the complete service, from the design and conceptualization of the part to its final use. With this new capacity, MADIT will also be able to offer these polishing services to third parties for metal parts from additive manufacturing and other processes.

The Biscayan start-up therefore increases its capacity for the production and treatment of metal parts in all phases of the process. The acquisition of the new DLyte 100I will enhance its main business line: the manufacturing and post-processing of metal 3D printing parts.

Exchange Know-How and Create Synergies

With this investment, MADIT is committed to innovation and improvement of metal parts manufactured using 3D printing, an area in which it seeks to be a national benchmark.

This acquisition is the first step in a collaboration agreement that allows to create synergies between MADIT which will expand its knowledge about metal surface finishing, while GPAINNOVA will do the same with metal 3D printing. Likewise, both plan to cooperate in technical projects and organize joint seminars and webinars about the integral process of metal additive manufacturing and about post-processing with dry electropolishing.

The Dry Electropolishing Machine that Revolutionizes the Metal Surface Finishing Market.

DLyte 100I is the largest compact dry electropolishing machine for industrial applications. It stands out for achieving high-quality surface results on metal parts without modifying the geometry of the part. This system automates the finishing processes that still require manual work. The machine uses the DryLyte Technology to polish parts, and high-precision electronics to generate electrical pulses with reciprocating vertical and rotary movement of parts within a container filled with dry polymer.

This model has been specially designed for pieces of high value, small, fragile and that demand a high-quality result. It is specially recommended for finishing cutting tools, precision components, 3D printing and aesthetic parts or that require special finishing requirements.

Two Leading Companies in the Metal Surface Finishing Sector

MADIT, based in Zamudio (Bizkaia), is a technology company dedicated to 3D printing and post-processing of metal parts. In its projects, it uses the new SLM (Selective Laser Melting) Technology, which allows to obtain metal parts with high mechanical resistance and great precision due to the fusion of a laser of layers of metal powder. Its CEO and Co-Founder Javier Díaz, is an expert in the aeronautical sector and has extensive experience in Additive Manufacturing.

GPAINNOVA is a technology group founded in 2013 in Barcelona, with subsidiaries in this city, Sunrise (Florida, USA), Hong Kong, and Shenzhen (Mainland China). It specializes in metal surface finishing machinery, with DLyte and MURUA; medical devices with Respira Device.com Advanced, USV (Unmanned Surface Vehicles) with GPASEABOTS and high-performance power electronics, with POWER INNOTECH. GPAINNOVA has a team of more than 150 professionals on staff, more than 35 engineers, and had a revenue of €15.8 million in 2020. The company has been selected by the Financial Times among the 1,000 Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies in 2020 and 2021.
